Motherhood keeps a smile on my face. A sleepy smile, but a big smile nonetheless. My 17 month’s most recent obsession is taking every product out from under my sink and throwing it in the tub, one at a time and then yelling for me to empty the tub, restock the basket under the sink so he can do it all over again. It actually allows me to get dressed in the morning AND keeps him entertained. My 3 year old who is raging against the potty training machine hasn’t pooped in three days because I told her if she does it in her panties again I’m taking away her dress up clothes. Yes, I’ve resorted to threats. Let the mom of the year nominations start flowing in! She tinkles in the potty just fine but getting that poo in the potty is worse than climbing Everest. I’m sure we’ll conquer this like every thing else … hopefully before freaking kindergarden.

Priorities
So the website is a-l-m-o-s-t ready … the details are such a thorn in my side! After another exhausting SoftSpot day (aren’t they all) I took a nice relaxing yoga breath and flung myself on the ground and started a tickle wrestling match with my munchkins. Life gets so busy and hectic that sometimes what’s really most important takes a back seat to the rest of the BS. I working on making a conscious effort to find the right balance and soak up every ounce of wonderment my pint sized angels have to offer.
PS: Rosco must have rolled around in rabbit poop all afternoon – he smells like shit. Wonder where his bath falls in my to-do list!?!
Hello world!
I’m a wife, a mom, a daughter, a sister, a friend … and most recently an inventor. Yes, I’m the person who says, “somebody should make one of ” and for some crazy reason … actually did. My invention won’t save the world (still working on that one) but it will make parents’ lives easier. I created the SoftSpot by Wozzy, a foldable, portable play mat that gives your child a clean and safe place to lay, sit and play … everywhere you go. Simple right? “So simple it is ingenious!” (as one of my customers told me). I constantly quote this customer because it makes me feel smart – which for those entrepreneurs out there, you know there are so many challenges with launching not only a business, but a brand – that I’ll take any opportunity to find glory in feeling smart.
